  4. Unfortunately I couldn't go to this visit but I had the opportunity to visit the ETAR before, when i was in the other school and it is very interesting. We can saw some processes of the treatment of the water that go out of our houses, so that these water can be reuse. They give us some advices of how we can save water and what we can't do. Despite of smell, it is a very good and interesting visit and we learn so much things. I hope that my colleagues have enjoyed this visit as much as I enjoyed when I went :)

  5. Study tour very interesting! Everyone should know how is the treatment of waste water and what impact has the grease and foreign objects flushed down the toilet or sink, that is, how hurt the whole process of wastewater treatment.

  7. I think that was the first time I went to a place like this, despite the smell, loved by experience. Every human being has its own way of acting, but if they knew how much trash ends up at a sewage treatment plant, many would change their attitudes! Although I do not throw for much of that garbage down the drain I learned many things, mainly as a sewage treatment plant work.

By visiting the ETAR (wastewater treatment wastewater) was even more realizing the importance of this type of treatment for the population and the environment. This type of treatment makes the site where the wastewater is discharged will be less polluted which also leads to the species that live in this area do not feel much pollution of the environment in which they live. It also allows people to "get rid" of their water desiduais. But such methods are not yet sufficiently able to iliminar all impurities from water entering the ETARs that often, so it is important that all citizens do their part and be more careful what you pour down the drains and the start to save more water.

I had never been in ETAR but I already knew what they do there. I learned a lot with this visit. I learned about ETAR history and how that works. Besides the bad smell, the visit was interesting and it was a little shocking saw residual water with garbish.

I don’t meet “ETAR” and never have visited it but I liked, because I learned a lot of things about this place, how started, how works, the functions and other things. And besides the bad smell was a visit very agradable.

I found it fun and interesting to the visit of the ETAR study conducted in funchal, one thing I did not know was its function. .
With this study visit I won new knowledge to my general knowledge about what goes on waste water coming out of our homes and their way to the WWTP and its the procedure for their treatment until they are pumped into the sea.
What I thought while on passed near the ETAR was that it was a place that smelled bad and all, I had no idea when it was important for our population.
Now I know and am fully aware that the if not there would be ETAR would a big environmental problem for our population.
I enriched my knowledge so I appeal to all people to come visit the treatment plant, for they will like. (:

The idea of going to visit the plant was very important because I had to do with the matter as we had on the environment. We often know that there is pollution, we have to reduce but never give much importance to it. But even close to seeing things as they are already make us think otherwise.
Upon hearing the explanation of the guide and especially the fact that seeing all those steps to deal with waste water made me wonder just how much we pollute thisaspect, as we make things even worse things lying in incorrect places. For the treatment of sewage, (in this case), if there are inappropriate things such as oil, toxic gases, bits of fabric, plastic, etc., these spoil more quickly and easily the machines, preventing sewage treatment, further damaging the environment.
The field trip was good despite having a rather nice smell but nothing that does notbear with. The main objective of this study visit was to sensitize them and to me that goal was achieved quite well because every time I see garbage in creeks, drainsand other always remember how important the treatment plant and how much you need to handle it to the world not be a cause.

  13. Visiting a waste water/sewage treatment plant in Funchal, it was a very "smelly" opportunity! :D
I arrived a little late, but I tried to understand all the information given by our guide. the first thing that we did there was knew the location of this water/sewage treatment and his several locals wich they are responsable, then we started to visit the location and that was the smelly part. we saw this huge tubes that had residual "trash" and some machines that helped to clean the "bad things" in the water.
The guide inform us of some cares we should have with the water , like: not to drop paper in the toilet and don`t drop oils of the kitchen in the sink, because that makes their job difficult to do it.
It was a very good and different experience !
